The Creative Non-Directive Approach

This therapeutic approach was created and founded in 1989 by Colette Portelance, originally from Quebec. She considers that the deepest suffering of human beings comes from the quality of their relationships. Ms Portelance has developed her own psycho-pedagogical and psychological conceptions of the relief relationship and has created the Creative Non-directive Approach that has helped thousands of people find more freedom and satisfaction in their affective relationships.

This method helps us to increase our knowledge of ourselves, and to accept ourselves as unique and special unrepeatable beings, encourages us to observe ourselves through a more compassionate and empathetic gaze. It accompanies us to seek out our strengths and to identify our most sensitive areas in order to understand and attend to our own needs, limitations and limiting beliefs, and to transform them and live more authentic, free and satisfying relational experiences. In short, it helps us to take back our power over our lives so that we can create and reinvent ourselves starting from who we really are.
